Carmelo Anthony Interested In Buying NBA Team With Dwyane Wade

Former NBA star Carmelo Anthony is looking to buy an NBA team, and he thinks teaming up with Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade would be perfect. Anthony talked about this idea on a recent episode of "7PM in Brooklyn."

“I’m trying to raise money now, traveling around to fundraise,” Anthony said. “It’s hard, but it’s important because sports involve a lot of money, and not everyone understands that.”

Anthony, who earned over $260 million during his NBA career, loves the idea of owning a team with Wade and LeBron James, who also joined the NBA in 2003. “That’s how you create a legacy,” he said. “I’d love to do it, but I’m not sure how open they are to it.”

Wade already has experience as a team owner. He became a minority owner of the Utah Jazz in 2021 and is also part of the ownership group for the Chicago Sky in the WNBA.

Owning a team with Wade would be a dream come true for Anthony.
