Canelo Alvarez, the super middleweight boxing champion, has described a potential fight with UFC star Conor McGregor as “easy money.”

Alvarez, who is defending his WBA, WBC, and WBO titles against Edgar Berlanga this Saturday, was asked by boxing reporter Manouk Akopyan about a possible match with McGregor.

Alvarez laughed off the idea, saying, “Easy, easy, way easy money.” He believes he could knock out McGregor at any time he chooses, stating, “One round, two rounds, three rounds, whatever I want.”

McGregor, who is known for his UFC career and only fought once in boxing against Floyd Mayweather, has struggled recently with a 1-3 record in MMA and an
injury that postponed his fight with Michael Chandler.

Although a fight between Alvarez and McGregor is unlikely, Alvarez is focusing on his upcoming match with Berlanga at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, while UFC 306 takes place the same night at Sphere. Alvarez remains unfazed by the UFC’s competition, saying, “Competition is good. I just focus on my team and what I’m doing.”
