Lady Gaga has revealed that she will release a 13-song album called Harlequin, which ties in with her role in the upcoming film Joker: Folie à Deux. The album will come out on September 27.

The album is expected to include songs from the movie, like Get Happy and Oh, When the Saints, along with some brand-new tracks. Gaga also mentioned that one song from the album will be released in October, with the full album dropping in February.

Gaga plays Harleen Quinzel, also known as Harley Quinn, in the sequel to the hit movie Joker, where she stars alongside Joaquin Phoenix. In an interview, Gaga said she even wrote a waltz for the film, and worked with a live piano player during her scenes.

Joker: Folie à Deux premiered at the Venice Film Festival and has received mixed reviews. Some say it's an improvement over the first movie, while others found it slow. The first Joker movie made over $1 billion worldwide and won two Oscars.

Gaga’s new project follows her recent success with the duet Die With A Smile alongside Bruno Mars, which has topped the charts for four weeks. She also took part in the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics. This is Gaga’s latest big movie role after A Star is Born and House of Gucci.
