Donald Trump, speaking at a rally in Savannah, Georgia, promised to bring back manufacturing jobs to the U.S. if he wins the 2024 election. He said the U.S. would "take other countries' jobs" by cutting taxes and lowering energy costs for American manufacturers.

Trump pledged to punish companies that make products outside the U.S. by placing high tariffs on foreign goods. He also talked about creating special tax zones to encourage businesses to move their operations to the U.S.

He criticized Democrats for the rise in inflation after the COVID-19 pandemic, though inflation has since slowed down. Trump also claimed the Biden administration hasn't done enough to bring down the cost of groceries.

Polls show that the economy is a top issue for voters in the 2024 election. Trump is seen by many voters as better able to handle economic challenges, though Vice President Kamala Harris has gained ground.

Harris will soon give a speech in Pennsylvania, where she is expected to introduce her own economic plans. Her proposals focus on helping first-time homebuyers and providing tax breaks for families.

As the race continues, both Trump and Harris are focusing on key swing states like Georgia and Pennsylvania, which could determine the outcome of the election.
