Billionaire Elon Musk announced on Saturday that he will give away $1 million each day to someone who signs his online petition supporting the U.S. Constitution. He plans to continue this until the November election.

At an event in Pennsylvania, Musk gave the first $1 million check to a man named John Dreher. “John had no idea. So anyway, you’re welcome,” Musk said as he handed Dreher the check.

Musk, the founder of Tesla and SpaceX, is using his wealth to influence the close race between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. He started a group called America PAC to support Trump’s campaign, helping register voters in key states. However, the group is reportedly having trouble reaching its goals.

The Pennsylvania event was Musk's third in the state, where he urged people to vote early and get others to do the same. He warned that if Harris wins, it could be “the last election,” and he pointed to two assassination attempts against Trump as proof that he’s disrupting the system in ways Harris wouldn’t. Musk claimed, “Assassinating a puppet is worthless.”

To sign Musk's petition, people must agree to support the First and Second Amendments, which protect free speech and the right to own guns. Attendees at the event were required to sign, allowing America PAC to collect contact information for potential voters.

Musk, who is currently the richest person in the world, has given at least $75 million to America PAC. He has become a strong Trump supporter and has even been mentioned by Trump as a possible head of a government efficiency commission if Trump wins. Source: CNBC
