A California judge has dismissed all claims against former boxer Manny Pacquiao in a lawsuit brought by a waiter named Gabriel Rueda.

Rueda, also known as Gabriel Salvador, claimed he was owed a "finder's fee" for helping organize the 2015 fight between Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather.

The lawsuit, filed in 2016, asked for 2% of the fight’s earnings, which made over $430 million. Rueda also wanted 2% of any rematch earnings, though no rematch happened.

On Monday, Judge Anne Richardson ruled in favor of Pacquiao, stating that Pacquiao had no direct involvement with Rueda and wasn’t responsible for causing him emotional distress.

Rueda’s case against others involved, like CBS, Showtime, and Pacquiao's trainer, will go to trial in November. Pacquiao’s lawyer expressed satisfaction with the ruling, calling it the right decision.
