Kawhi Leonard, star player for the LA Clippers, will miss the start of the season as he continues to recover from inflammation in his right knee.

Leonard has been dealing with knee problems since 2019, and he hasn't played in any preseason games. According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Leonard will be out indefinitely.

Coach Tyronn Lue said there's no timeline for Leonard’s return, but the team is being patient.

Leonard had hoped to play at the start of the season if his knee felt better, but his recovery is still ongoing.

Leonard, who missed the last eight games of last season and two playoff games, has had trouble staying healthy.

He has missed 179 out of 435 games since joining the Clippers in 2019. The Clippers will start their season on October 23 against the Phoenix Suns. Source: NBA
