Kevin Durant & James Harden Help Nets Defeat Luka Doncic of Mavericks

The Brooklyn Nets defeated the Dallas Mavericks 102-99 on Tuesday at American Airlines Center after trailing by 17 points in the third quarter.

Kevin Durant led the Nets with 24 points accompanied by James Harden's 23 points and 12 assists. Mavs guard Luka Doncic led all scorers with 28 points.

Nets forward Patty Mills made a three-pointer to give Brooklyn a 98-97 lead. James Harden had a layup before Mavs big man Kristaps Porzingis hit a pair of free throws to cut the Nets' lead to 100-99 with 1:16 left.

Durant replied with a 14-foot turnaround jumper to extend the lead to three points.

Dallas got the ball back with a chance to tie the game after both teams traded possessions.

Both Doncic and Tim Hardaway Jr. missed three-pointers, with Hardaway Jr.'s shot coming at the buzzer.

The Nets, who are 17-7, have won three of their last four games, while the Mavs, who are 11-12, have lost three in a row.
