Giannis Antetokounmpo Surges Ahead Of Kevin Durant In 2023 NBA All-Star Voting Returns
Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks has surpassed Kevin Durant of the Brooklyn Nets in the final fan voting returns for the 2023 NBA All-Star Game.
According to the update released on Thursday, Durant, who is currently out with a sprained MCL, trails Antetokounmpo by 132,014 votes.
If Antetokounmpo maintains his lead and LeBron James holds onto his lead in the West, the All-Star Game will feature Team LeBron vs. Team Giannis for the third time.
In the East, Jayson Tatum still leads Joel Embiid for the third frontcourt spot, and Kyrie Irving and Donovan Mitchell have a clear advantage over other guards.
In the West, James, Nikola Jokic, and Anthony Davis remain at the top for frontcourt players, with Zion Williamson close behind, while Curry and Luka Doncic lead the backcourt players.
The All-Star Game will take place in Salt Lake City on Feb. 19.
