John Collins, forward for the Atlanta Hawks, is familiar with trade rumors and is indifferent about the possibility of being traded before the deadline in February 2022.

When asked by The Athletic's Sam Amick about his thoughts on the matter, Collins stated he does not have a preference and is not focused on things he cannot control.

He mentioned the situation with Brooklyn Nets star, Kevin Durant, who had requested to be traded but ultimately stayed with the team as an example.

Collins had recently signed a five-year, $125 million contract with the Hawks before the 2021-22 season, making it difficult for them to find a team willing to take on his salary.

Additionally, Collins has been underperforming this season, with a career-low scoring average and shooting percentage.

The Hawks, currently in 10th place in the Eastern Conference, may benefit from trading Collins in order to recoup assets for the current or future seasons.
