The Los Angeles Lakers, a team built around its two stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis, have been affected by the absence of Davis due to a foot injury.

However, this has also created an opportunity for center Thomas Bryant to step into a starting role and make a significant impact.

Bryant has been averaging 16.3 points and 9.7 rebounds in 15 games as a starter.

As Davis is set to return soon, head coach Darvin Ham plans on trying out a frontcourt of James, Davis and Bryant together.

Ham believes that the most important aspect of this frontcourt will be balance, as each player has their own unique strengths and the Lakers need to make sure they are utilized correctly.

All three players are skilled and intelligent enough to make this work on both ends of the court, and if they can get it to click, the Lakers will be a difficult team to deal with.

Despite a rough start to the season, Bryant believes the Lakers are now trending in the right direction and there is still plenty for the team to work on.
