LeBron James Reaches Historic 38,000 Career Points, Joins Kareem Abdul-Jabbar In Exclusive Club
LeBron James has reached a new scoring milestone, joining Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the only NBA players to reach 38,000 career points.
With a jump shot against the Philadelphia 76ers, James scored his 38,000th and 38,001st career points.
He has been second on the NBA's all-time scoring list since passing Karl Malone in March, and is now approaching Abdul-Jabbar's record.
Currently averaging 29 points per game at 38 years old, James is on pace to pass Abdul-Jabbar in mid-February.
This achievement is notable, considering that James is often considered a playmaker rather than a scorer.
