Steph Curry's Selflessness Key In Recruiting Kevin Durant To Warriors

Steph Curry's role in recruiting Kevin Durant to the Golden State Warriors highlights his unique selflessness.

Many stars in the prime of their careers may be intimidated by the idea of sharing the spotlight with another big name in the league, but for Curry, the decision was clear.

He sat down with the team's general manager and reflected on the text message he sent to Durant that ultimately led to the two joining forces in 2016.

Curry explained that he knew himself well enough to know how to operate in a situation where he could coexist with another great player and still find value in himself every day.

His selflessness paid off for the team with three consecutive NBA Finals appearances, two titles, and the first championship in Durant's career.

It also goes to show that being a perfect team player can result in great things.
