Islam Makhachev Discusses Weight Cut Concerns With Khabib Nurmagomedov Ahead Of UFC 284

Islam Makhachev discussed his weight cut with Khabib Nurmagomedov ahead of his fight at UFC 284.

Makhachev struggled to cut weight and Nurmagomedov checked on him frequently during the morning of the weigh-ins.

The weight cut appeared to be difficult for Makhachev, with former UFC champion Michael Bisping warning of a possible missed weight.

Despite this, Makhachev made weight and will face Alexander Volkanovski in a highly anticipated fight.

However, Nurmagomedov will not be present in Makhachev's corner for this fight, though he has been supporting him from a distance by checking on his training and weight cut.

Makhachev has had past difficulties with cutting weight, but he was ultimately successful in making weight for UFC 284.

US Court Orders Mayweather To Pay Nigerian Firm $2.4 Million For Contract Breach

Photo: Floyd Mayweather Jr. (Instagram) A U.S. court has ruled that former boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. must pay $2.4 million to Zinni Media Concept Limited, a Nigerian company.  The case involves a contract breach from 2017 when Mayweather agreed to make appearances in Africa, including Nigeria.  However, he canceled the deal and did not return the money paid in advance.
