LeBron James has expressed his disappointment that the Los Angeles Lakers were unable to acquire Kyrie Irving before the NBA trade deadline.

James spoke with ESPN's Michael Wilbon and said that his focus has now shifted to making the most of what the Lakers currently have.

Despite being linked to Irving, the Lakers' best offer was not enough to land the point guard, who is reportedly joining the Dallas Mavericks.

James' disappointment was reflected in a cryptic tweet, showcasing his sometimes passive-aggressive personality.

This is not the first time the Lakers have failed to acquire a key player, as they failed to land Anthony Davis in 2019.

However, that situation led to a difficult year for the team, and they missed the playoffs with a 37-45 record.

With the Lakers currently 13th in the Western Conference, they need everyone to work together to make a push for the postseason.
