According to Golden Boy promoter Oscar De La Hoya, the highly anticipated fight between Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia is still a "green light" from their perspective, as the sides appear to be close to signing and sealing the deal.

Although there hasn't been an official announcement, De La Hoya remains positive about the negotiations and says that they are waiting for a formal contract to be returned to finalize everything.

De La Hoya also addressed Davis' recent guilty plea in a hit-and-run case, but he doesn't believe it will have any impact on the fight, as Davis is all clear and can focus on training for the fight, which is expected to take place in April.

The promoter is excited about the progress being made in the negotiations and is urging fans to "rev up those motors" for the big event.

De La Hoya confirmed that the contract is on Davis' side and that they are revising it one more time before the final signing.

Despite the negotiations taking a while, the Golden Boy promoter is pleased that they are nearing the finish line and is optimistic that the fight will take place as planned.

Overall, De La Hoya is confident that everything is in place for an exciting fight between two of the top boxers in the world, and he is looking forward to seeing the event come to fruition.
