Paul George, star player of the LA Clippers, has been named as a 2023 NBA All-Star.

This comes as the Clippers have won 6 of their last 7 games and are currently at the fourth seed in the West.

George was selected as one of the frontcourt reserves, alongside players from the Utah Jazz, Sacramento Kings, and Memphis Grizzlies.

This season, George is averaging 23.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.4 assists, and 1.5 steals per game with a 46.4% field goal shooting rate.

Despite his achievements, George doesn't place much importance on being an All-Star, stating he'll either play in the game or enjoy a long weekend vacation.

Coach Tyronn Lue cites George and teammate Kawhi Leonard's play as the reason for their All-Star selection, pointing to their impact on the team's performance.

Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra also recognizes George's impact, calling him one of the most clutch and complete two-way players in the NBA.

The 2023 NBA All-Star Game will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah on February 17-19th and will include various exhibitions and events such as the Rising Stars Challenge and the Slam Dunk Contest.
