Conor McGregor made an unexpected appearance at the UFC 285 ceremonial weigh-ins in Las Vegas, Nevada on Friday, March 3, 2023.

However, his appearance was not to promote the upcoming heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Ciryl Gane.

Instead, McGregor was there to promote his upcoming role in the movie "Road House" and to let fans know they could be part of the shoot, specifically a scene featuring a weigh-in.

UFC 285, which will take place on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, will feature one of the biggest fights in UFC history.

In the main event, No. 1-ranked heavyweight contender, Ciryl Gane, and former light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones, will collide in a "super" fight for the vacant undisputed heavyweight title.

The pay-per-view co-main event will feature women's flyweight champion, Valentina Shevchenko, defending her 125-pound title against Mexico's Alexa Grasso.

McGregor has been in Las Vegas for the past few weeks filming the next season of "The Ultimate Fighter" opposite Michael Chandler.

McGregor has not competed since his loss to Dustin Poirier in July 2021 and is slowly making his way back to the UFC.

Despite this, McGregor is also juggling a budding Hollywood career with rehabilitation and preparation for his UFC return, and it remains to be seen if he can balance both.

McGregor's appearance at the weigh-ins was a surprise to many, but it was not to promote the upcoming fight.

Instead, he used the opportunity to promote his upcoming role in "Road House" and to invite fans to be part of the movie's shoot.

McGregor will fight Chandler at some point later this year, but for now, he seems content with his Hollywood pursuits.
