Al-Nassr snatched a dramatic victory from Al-Batin, with a stunning comeback in the added time to move back to the top of the Saudi Pro League.

Cristiano Ronaldo's side were moments away from a humiliating defeat in Riyadh, trailing to Al-Batin, who had won only once all season.

However, the officials added 15 minutes of injury time, which proved to be a game-changer for the title chasers.

Al-Nassr scored three goals during the added time to turn the game on its head.

Ronaldo went into the game in exceptional form, scoring eight times in his first five Al-Nassr appearances, including a hat-trick in the previous match, which helped him clinch the Player of the Month award in the competition.

However, it was a different story against Al-Batin, who took the lead after 17 minutes through Renzo Lopez’s goal.

The score remained 1-0 until the end of normal time, with Al-Nassr struggling to find parity.

Ronaldo was visibly frustrated, waving his arms at teammates and firing a series of dangerous free-kicks well over the bar.

The game looked to be heading towards a shock result, with Al-Batin appearing comfortable in the latter stages.

However, in the 93rd minute, Abdulrahman Ghareeb scored the equalizer, and in the 102nd minute, Mohammed Al-Fatil fired a crisp strike into the bottom corner to secure the win.

The added time caused surprise to many viewers, with Al-Batin's deflated players expressing their feelings to the officials.

Although Ronaldo failed to register a goal involvement for only the second league game since his move, he went around every Al-Nassr player to congratulate them on the win that took them back to the top of the table.

The three points saw Ronaldo's side leapfrog Al-Ittihad at the summit, clear by two points.

The win was not a vintage Ronaldo performance on an individual basis, and it was his lesser-known colleagues who were the heroes.

Next up for Al-Nassr is a top-of-the-table clash with Nuno Espirito Santo's Al-Ittihad on March 9, a game that could decide the destination of the Saudi top-flight title.

The victory proved that Al-Nassr can grind out results even when the going gets tough.
