Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has emphasized the importance of winning their upcoming match against title rivals Manchester City to keep their hopes of winning the league alive.

The Gunners' chances took another hit when they drew 3-3 with bottom-placed Southampton, despite a late comeback.

Arsenal has now gone three games without a win, and they are five points behind City, who have two games in hand.

Arteta is looking forward to the challenge, saying that these are the games they want to play in and that they will prepare well.

Gabriel Jesus, Manchester City's striker, echoed Arteta's sentiments, saying that they are still in the race, and they will fight until the end.

He believes that they need to win against Arsenal to remain in contention for the title. The match promises to be a difficult one, and the pressure will be on both teams to get a result.

Arteta was unhappy with the individual errors that cost his team in their draw with Southampton. Arsenal conceded an early goal due to a mistake from goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.

Theo Walcott and Duje Caleta-Car scored Southampton's other two goals before Arsenal staged their comeback.

Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka scored late goals to salvage a point for Arsenal.

The Gunners' manager believes that his team needs to focus on doing the simple things right and cutting out mistakes to start winning games.

He is concerned about how his players will respond to these setbacks but is pleased with their willingness to work hard and fight for results.

The upcoming match against Manchester City will be a test of Arsenal's character and ability to bounce back from setbacks.
