Reports of UFC parent company, Endeavor, buying World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in a multi-billion dollar deal has set the internet buzzing with reactions from insiders, fans, fighters and others.

The potential deal would see UFC and WWE become part of a new publicly-traded company with Endeavor owning 51 percent and WWE shareholders holding 49 percent.

The CEO of Endeavor, Ari Emanuel, would remain overall chief executive, while WWE's Vince McMahon would serve as executive chairman.

This acquisition would result in a wild change as it would technically place McMahon above UFC President, Dana White, in the new company's organizational chart. The deal is expected to be officially announced on Monday.

Conor McGregor congratulated UFC on Twitter and exclaimed, “Wow! Endeavor bout to scoop the WWE now also. Incredible. What a powerhouse!”

Other Twitter users have also shared their thoughts on the potential deal. Many are intrigued by the idea of combining the two sports entertainment giants while some worry about the impact on WWE's storytelling and authenticity.

Others wonder about the potential for cross-promotion and collaboration between the two companies.

This news is not entirely unexpected as Endeavor has been actively expanding its portfolio with acquisitions in various industries.

The company has been diversifying its revenue streams and the potential acquisition of WWE would be a significant move towards that goal.

It remains to be seen how this potential deal would affect the landscape of professional wrestling and mixed martial arts.

Nevertheless, the news has generated considerable excitement among fans and industry insiders alike.
