New Orleans police have issued an arrest warrant for MMA fighter Nate Diaz following his alleged involvement in a brawl outside a bar in the city on Friday.

Diaz, who is facing a second-degree battery charge, has not yet been taken into custody. A police spokesperson confirmed that the warrant was issued based on suspicion of the offense.

Details of the incident are not entirely clear, but footage appears to show Diaz choking social media influencer Rodney Peterson during the altercation.

Peterson, who bears a striking resemblance to YouTuber Logan Paul, was knocked unconscious after Diaz kneed him and placed him in a chokehold.

Peterson later took to social media to share photos of the head injury he said he suffered during the fight and threatened retaliation.

Diaz was in New Orleans to support his longtime teammate Chris Avila, who was participating in Misfits Boxing 6.

Avila won his fight against Paul Bamba in the co-main event by unanimous decision.

However, Diaz was involved in a separate altercation with Netflix reality star Chase DeMoor during the event.

Diaz was sitting on the floor when he suddenly threw a water bottle at DeMoor, sparking a brief scuffle before he was ejected from the arena.

Diaz, who is a free agent after his last victory against Tony Ferguson in September, boasts a 22-13 UFC record.

In August, he is scheduled to make his professional boxing debut against Jake Paul.
