Shannon Sharpe, co-host of Fox Sports 1's "Undisputed," is set to depart from the popular sports talk show in the near future.

According to a report by Ryan Glasspiegel of the New York Post, Sharpe has reached a buyout agreement with Fox Sports, leading to his departure.

While the exact date of his final appearance on the show has not been specified, it is expected to be shortly after the NBA Finals, during which he will continue to appear alongside co-host Skip Bayless.

Along with his departure from "Undisputed," Sharpe's podcast, Club Shay Shay, will also be leaving the network.

The specific details of Sharpe's buyout agreement with FS1 have not been disclosed, and there is currently no information regarding a replacement co-host for the show.

Sharpe, aged 54, initially joined forces with Bayless on "Undisputed" in 2016, following Bayless's departure from ESPN's "First Take."

However, tensions between Sharpe and Bayless arose after a controversial tweet from Bayless regarding Bills safety Damar Hamlin's cardiac arrest on the field in January.

Despite Sharpe's request to delete the tweet, Bayless stood by it, resulting in Sharpe's absence from the show the next morning.

Before venturing into the world of media, Sharpe had a successful career in the NFL, playing 14 seasons as a tight end. He achieved numerous accolades, including eight Pro Bowl selections, and was eventually inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2011.

While the departure of Shannon Sharpe from "Undisputed" marks a significant change for the show, it remains to be seen how Fox Sports will navigate this transition and who will fill the void left by the charismatic co-host.
