Reports have surfaced that legendary quarterback Tom Brady is in deep discussions to become a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.

ESPN claims that the talks have been ongoing between the seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback and Mark Davis, the owner of the Raiders, for several weeks.

However, the negotiations are said to be extremely sensitive and fluid, according to sources cited by the publication.

A source close to the situation has revealed that Brady's involvement in the Raiders would be passive, with no control over business or football matters. If the agreement between Brady and Davis goes ahead, it would be the second time this year that they have joined forces in business.

In March, Brady announced that he had become a limited partner in the Las Vegas Aces, a franchise in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) owned by Davis.

Brady retired from the NFL in February after a record-breaking career spanning 23 seasons, during which he played for the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

He is set to begin a new venture as an NFL broadcaster, having signed a mammoth 10-year, $375 million contract with FOX, which is set to start next year.

It remains to be seen what role Brady would play in the Raiders' organization if he were to become a minority owner. The Raiders have had a mixed run in recent years, having failed to make the playoffs since 2016.

However, the team has been making moves in the offseason to bolster their roster, and adding Brady to their ownership ranks would undoubtedly bring added prestige and attention to the organization.
