In a recent turn of events, Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy has addressed the viral interaction with NFL great Steve Smith Sr.

Smith, a former wide receiver with an illustrious career, had criticized Jeudy on his podcast, "Cut To It," referring to him as a "JAG" (just another guy). Smith attempted to apologize on the NFL Network's "Thursday Night Football" pregame show but claimed that Jeudy declined the apology, stating, "Ninja, I don't mess with you."

During the exchange, Smith went on to make further comments, suggesting that Jeudy was an average wide receiver that the Broncos would eventually move on from, and he questioned Jeudy's ability to handle constructive criticism. The exchange became a viral sensation, and it continued to garner attention in the following week.

Jeudy finally broke his silence, addressing the situation with reporters. He clarified that he had no ill will towards Smith and acknowledged his accomplishments as a player.

Jeudy emphasized that he stands by his principles, suggesting that if someone speaks negatively about him, they should maintain the same energy when they meet in person. He expressed that he would have reacted differently if Smith had genuinely apologized, but he chose to address the situation as it stood.

As for his performance on the field, Jeudy has accumulated 17 catches for 208 receiving yards this season. Unfortunately, he couldn't prove Smith wrong on Thursday night, finishing the game with just 14 receiving yards on three catches during the Broncos' 19-8 loss to the Chiefs.

This public exchange highlights the tensions between NFL veterans and younger players and sheds light on how such interactions can captivate fans and media alike.
