During Super Bowl week, NBC analyst and former NFL quarterback Chris Simms made a surprising assertion, labeling Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles as the "most overrated player in football.

Despite Hurts' impressive track record, Simms argued that the quarterback benefits significantly from a star-studded team, emphasizing the Eagles' top-tier offensive line and formidable wide receiver duo.

Simms suggested that placing quarterbacks like Kyler Murray in the Eagles' lineup might yield similar success, raising questions about the perception of Hurts' individual contribution.

He asserted, "When Murray is on his game, he’s every bit in the class of Jalen Hurts."

While both Hurts and Murray boast comparable statistics when healthy, including similar passing yards and touchdown numbers, Simms pointed out that Hurts has achieved greater postseason success.

Both quarterbacks are expected to be in good health for the upcoming 2024 season, setting the stage for continued debate over their performances and contributions to their respective teams. (SOURCE: Fox News)
