The night unfolded with high expectations for Hawks' point guard, Trae Young, who aimed to make history as the first member of the Atlanta Hawks to claim the coveted title.

His initial round saw a spectacular performance, scoring 26 points and igniting hopes for a groundbreaking achievement. The competition intensified as players vied for a spot in the final round.

Lillard, unfazed by the pressure, showcased his championship mettle, forcing a four-way tie with Young, Towns, and Tyrese Haliburton. A tiebreaker ensued, compressing the time to 30 seconds, adding an extra layer of intensity to the final showdown.

Young, the first to face the shortened tiebreaker, posted an impressive 15 points, setting the stage for a gripping finale. However, it was Lillard and Towns who edged ahead with 16 points each, eliminating Haliburton from contention.

In the ultimate round, tension filled the air as Towns set the benchmark with a respectable 24 points. Young, following suit, delivered a stellar performance, amassing 24 points to stay in contention. The spotlight then turned to Lillard, the defending champion, who sealed the deal with a clutch performance, scoring 26 points and securing his back-to-back victory in the NBA Three-Point Contest.

While Trae Young showcased tremendous skill and determination, ultimately finishing in second place, it was Damian Lillard's precision and composure in critical moments that earned him the prestigious title once again. The NBA's premier event provided fans with a night filled with unforgettable moments, reaffirming Lillard's status as one of the league's premier three-point marksmen. (SOURCE: Sports Illustrated)
