In a candid moment, Williamson stated, "Vic is a very special player. He's a dude that can get two or three Defensive Player of The Years, and I don't want to put no limit on it, but he can get Defensive Player of The Years and MVPs."

As the first pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, Williamson empathizes with Wembanyama's position. With a seasoned perspective, the 2021 NBA All-Star highlighted the rookie's unprecedented potential, foreseeing accolades under the guidance of coach Popovich.

Williamson's own stats for the season reveal his prowess, averaging 22.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 1.0 steals, with an impressive field goal percentage of 58.9%. The Pelicans now boast a 28-21 record, securing the seventh seed in the highly competitive Western Conference.

On the flip side, the struggling Spurs fell to a 10-39 record, placing them at the 15th seed in the Western Conference.

Wembanyama's remarkable season averages of 20.5 points, 10.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.1 steals, and 3.2 blocks underline his impact on the team, shooting at an efficient 46.6% from the field.
