NBA Stars Shower Anthony Edwards With Praise After Stellar Performance

NBA star Anthony Edwards is turning heads and earning respect from some of the league's biggest names. After a standout performance in Game 1 of the Timberwolves' playoff series against the Phoenix Suns, Edwards is getting high praise.

In the game on Saturday at the Target Center, Edwards scored an impressive 33 points, leading the Timberwolves to a convincing 120-95 win over the Suns. He even went on a scoring spree, putting up 10 straight points during the third quarter. The Timberwolves entered the final quarter with a comfortable 20-point lead.

Stephen A. Smith, a well-known sports commentator, didn't hold back his admiration for Edwards on ESPN’s First Take. "Anthony Edwards is a superstar," Smith said. "This brother is something special. There are moments when you see something different, and Edwards is that."

Smith was so impressed that he reached out to Michael Jordan, often considered the greatest basketball player ever, to share his excitement. "That brother is special. No question about it," Jordan responded.

Draymond Green, another NBA star, also had glowing words for Edwards on his podcast, the “Draymond Green Show.” "Ant Man is different," Green said. He praised Edwards for backing up his bold statements with impressive performances on the court.

Ohtani, who now plays for the Los Angeles Dodgers, filed court documents this week claiming Mizuhara used his bank account without permission starting in late 2021. Mizuhara allegedly changed Ohtani’s security settings to make wire transfers and used the money to buy the cards from online sites like eBay and Whatnot. Mizuhara has already pleaded guilty to stealing nearly $17 million from Ohtani. Prosecutors say he spent the money on gambling, debts, medical bills, and the baseball cards.
