The Philadelphia 76ers celebrated basketball legend Allen Iverson with a special ceremony on Friday. They unveiled a sculpture of Iverson at the Penn Medicine Philadelphia 76ers Training Complex.

The sculpture captures Iverson in his iconic crossover pose, honoring his time with the Sixers. It's located at the team's practice facility, a nod to Iverson's famous "practice" rant from 22 years ago. The ceremony was a special moment for Iverson, who joined other Sixers greats like Julius Erving, Wilt Chamberlain, and Charles Barkley on the team's Legends Walk.

Iverson, an 11-time All-Star, had an incredible career with the Sixers. He won four scoring titles, an NBA MVP award, and led the team to the NBA finals in 2001. His unique style and passion for the game made him a fan favorite.

During the ceremony, Iverson thanked his former teammates, coaches, and everyone who supported him throughout his career. He was joined by former teammates like Pat Croce, Rasheed Wallace, and Eric Snow, as well as former coach Larry Brown.

Despite some past differences with Brown, Iverson acknowledged their shared goals and how Brown helped him become an MVP player. He also mentioned his continued connection with the Sixers as a team ambassador.

The statue is part of the team's private walkway at the practice facility, accessible only to players, employees, and select others. Iverson expressed gratitude for the honor, saying it represented all the people who supported and influenced him throughout his life.

The unveiling was a touching tribute to a basketball icon, reminding fans of Iverson's lasting impact on the Sixers and the NBA.
