Elite Forward Brandon Ingram Returns To New Orleans Pelicans Amid Losing Streak

The New Orleans Pelicans will welcome back Brandon Ingram on Wednesday as they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Ingram, an elite basketball player, has been out for 29 games due to a left big toe contusion.

The Pelicans have been on a five-game losing streak, currently sitting at fourth place in the Western Conference with a 26-22 record.

Ingram, who has not played since November 25th against the Memphis Grizzlies, where he sustained his injury, is averaging 20.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 4.7 assists in the 15 games he's played this season.

Coach Willie Green praised Ingram's high basketball IQ and skill set, noting that he may need to shake off some rust upon his return.

Ingram was named the NBA's Most Improved Player for the 2019-20 season and earned his first All-Star selection.
