Jayson Tatum Overtakes Joel Embiid In 2023 NBA All-Star Voting, LeBron James And Kevin Durant Remain At The Top

The NBA has released the second round of voting results for the 2023 All-Star Game, showing that Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum has overtaken Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid for the third frontcourt spot in the Eastern Conference, though Tatum is only ahead by 32,391 votes.

Los Angeles Lakers player LeBron James still leads all players with 4,825,229 votes, and Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant leads all Eastern Conference players with 4,509,238 votes.

This would mean that the All-Star Game would feature Team LeBron vs Team Durant for the third consecutive year.

Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks trails Durant by 41,932 votes.

In the Western Conference, Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors and Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks lead among guards, while James, Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets, and Anthony Davis of the Lakers lead among frontcourt players.

The final voting results will be released on January 19th, with fan voting ending on January 21st and starters being announced on January 26th.

The All-Star Game is set to take place in Salt Lake City on February 19th.
