Jones, who is set to return to the ring in March 2023, has stated that he has "nothing but respect" for Cormier, who will be commentating on his upcoming fight.

The pair have had a heated rivalry throughout their careers, but Jones is content with the situation and happy for Cormier's success in broadcasting and wrestling.

Jones will be competing for the vacant UFC Heavyweight title against Ciryl Gane, and he holds Gane in high regard, calling him a "gentleman" and a "huge step up in competition."
