Former super middleweight world champion Carl Froch has responded to criticism from YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, warning that his "right hand will put you into orbit" if he is "stupid enough" to fight him.

Paul has a big fight coming up in Saudi Arabia against Tommy Fury, but has also diverted his attention to addressing criticism from Froch.

In a video posted on Instagram, Froch dismissed the idea of fighting mixed martial arts legend Anderson Silva on Paul's undercard and stated that he would not consider fighting Paul unless he beats Fury.

Froch also accused Paul of being a "performing clown" and told him to "keep my name out of your mouth until you've done something in the game".

Froch is a four-time world champion, with two WBC titles to his name, and he believes Paul is not a professional fighter and will never have one of those titles.

The idea of Jake Paul vs Carl Froch has come up before, and Froch was initially dismissive but then said he would probably do it for an absurd money offer.

Former middleweight titlist Darren Barker also threw in a reply to Paul.

Tommy Fury, on the other hand, believes he will prove he's a real pro boxer and that Paul just isn't, which adds potential intrigue to the upcoming fight.

It will be interesting to see how both fighters perform in Saudi Arabia and whether a fight between Froch and Paul will ever come to fruition.
