Recent rumors of a rift between Los Angeles Lakers stars Anthony Davis and LeBron James have sparked discussion in the NBA community.

These whispers gained traction after Davis' reaction to James breaking the all-time scoring record went viral.

However, Davis has refuted these rumors, claiming that he and James have one of the best relationships in the NBA.

Despite speculation surrounding the Lakers' locker room, what matters most is whether Davis and James can perform well together on the court.

If they can stay healthy and management surrounds them with the right role players, they can be a dominant force in the league.

At present, the Lakers are facing a challenging situation with James out for at least a couple more weeks due to a tendon foot injury.

The team is currently 7-5 in the twelve games he has missed, thanks to the third-best defense in the league anchored by Davis.

However, the Lakers are in a tight race for playoff contention and need more wins to secure their spot.

For the Lakers to make a playoff run, they will require James' return and for him and Davis to rekindle their on-court chemistry.

However, the team's success will primarily depend on Davis' performance in the coming games. Despite the current challenges, Davis has shown great form recently and looks up to the task.

As the Lakers push for playoff contention, it remains to be seen how well Davis and James can perform together when James returns to the court.
