Russell Westbrook Makes NBA History In Clippers-Thunder Showdown

In a remarkable feat during Thursday's game, Russell Westbrook etches his name in NBA history. 

The Los Angeles Clippers clashed with the Oklahoma City Thunder in a thrilling showdown.

Westbrook's 1,122nd career game ties him with Hall of Famer Hal Greer at 68th on the all-time regular season games played list.

The next milestone in his sights is Lou Williams at 1,123 games.

With averages of 11.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 1.1 steals per game, Westbrook displayed his all-around prowess.

The Clippers, currently the NBA's hottest team with a 17-10 record, showcased their dominance with a nine-game winning streak.


In a recent victory against the Dallas Mavericks, the Clippers triumphed 120-111. 

Westbrook, in 23 minutes of play, contributed ten points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals, shooting an impressive 5/9 from the field.

Looking ahead, the Clippers will host the Boston Celtics on Saturday in Los Angeles after facing the Thunder. 

 

Westbrook, drafted fourth in the 2008 NBA Draft from UCLA, has left an indelible mark across multiple teams, including the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, and Washington Wizards.
