During the Thursday showdown between the Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Lakers, 2014 MVP Kevin Durant made NBA history, marking his 1,017th career game.

This accomplishment ties him with NBA Champion Tayshaun Prince for 137th place on the all-time regular season games played list.

At 35, Durant remains a dominant force among the league's top players, boasting impressive averages of 29.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.9 assists, and 1.1 blocks per game.

His remarkable shooting percentages of 52.5% from the field and 47.4% from beyond the arc in 30 games further solidify his impact on the court.

Currently donning the Phoenix Suns jersey for his first full season with the team, Durant's journey has seen him play for the Seattle SuperSonics/Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors, Brooklyn Nets, and now the Suns.

As Durant continues his 16th season in the NBA, he sets his sights on surpassing basketball legends Joe Dumars and Nicolas Batum in the all-time games played rankings.

Despite a recent setback with a loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, Durant's stellar performance of 30 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and one block showcased his enduring prowess.

The Suns, with Durant leading the charge, hold the eighth seed in the competitive Western Conference with a 19-18 record in their first 37 games.

As the season unfolds, fans eagerly anticipate Durant's ongoing journey up the all-time list, adding another chapter to his illustrious career. (Source: Sports Illustrated)
