Russell Westbrook Achieves Milestone In Clippers-Wizards Clash

Russell Westbrook, the 2017 MVP, made a significant mark on the league's record books in a historic NBA matchup between the Los Angeles Clippers and Washington Wizards on Wednesday evening.

Westbrook played his 1,140th career game, tying Michael Cage for 63rd place on the all-time regular season games played list. The next milestone on Westbrook's horizon is surpassing Jeff Green's 1,152 games. 

Despite his current role player status, Westbrook's impact remains noteworthy, contributing to the Clippers' impressive start as the fourth seed in the Western Conference with a 30-15 record.

Throughout this season, Westbrook has maintained solid performance, averaging 11.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. His shooting prowess stands at 46.6% from the field and 28.8% from three-point range.

In their recent game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Clippers faced a setback with a 118-108 loss. Westbrook, in his 22 minutes of play, recorded 13 points, four rebounds, and three assists, showcasing his continued contribution to the team.


Looking ahead, the Clippers will challenge the Pistons on Friday evening in Detroit. Westbrook, now in his 16th NBA season, boasts an illustrious career, having played for the Los Angeles Lakers, Washington Wizards, Houston Rockets, and Oklahoma City Thunder.
