On Sunday evening, the Oklahoma City Thunder clinched a dominant 123-110 victory over the Houston Rockets in a thrilling matchup held in Texas.

All-Star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander showcased his prowess with 36 points, leading the Thunder's dominant second-half performance.

Rookie sensation Chet Holmgren was not to be overshadowed, contributing significantly with 29 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, one steal, and three blocks in just 33 minutes of play.

However, his impact transcended the game itself as Holmgren etched his name in NBA history. He became the first rookie ever to accumulate 150+ blocks and 100+ three-pointers in a single season.

With this historic feat, the Thunder's record improved to an impressive 40-17, tying them with the Minnesota Timberwolves for the top seed in the Western Conference.

Riding an 8-2 streak in their last ten games, the Thunder are currently on a five-game winning spree. The Thunder and Rockets are set for a rematch on Tuesday evening in Oklahoma City.

The Thunder, boasting a 23-6 home record, will look to maintain their momentum, while the Rockets, now at 25-32 and 12th in the Western Conference, aim to bounce back from a challenging 3-7 stretch in their last ten games.
