Los Angeles Clippers forward Paul George, currently without a contract extension, is reportedly considering a return to the Indiana Pacers, where he spent the first seven seasons of his career, according to Yahoo Sports' Jake Fischer.

Speculations grow as George approaches free agency this offseason, with the possibility of declining his $48.7 million player option for the 2024-25 season.

Despite ongoing discussions of a contract extension between George and the Clippers, there are "growing whispers" about his interest in rejoining the Pacers. This move would reunite him with his former team, where he became the face of the franchise.

In addition to the Pacers, the Philadelphia 76ers are also keeping a close eye on George's situation. Chris Haynes of TNT Sports reported that the 76ers would aggressively pursue the 33-year-old if he becomes available.

Haynes emphasized the Sixers' interest, stating, "watch out for the 76ers, they're not done."

While the Clippers aim to secure an extension and maintain their core, the 76ers seem ready to make a move if negotiations fall through.

Paul George, however, remains focused on leading the Clippers, who currently stand one game away from the top spot in the Western Conference with a 34-16 record. (SOURCE: Breacher Report)
