Stephen Curry, the renowned NBA star of the Golden State Warriors, is not only making waves on the basketball court but also eyeing a potential shift to politics.

During a recent appearance on CBS Mornings, Curry hinted at the possibility of a future in politics, including a potential run for the presidency.

In an interview with CBS News correspondent Jericka Duncan, Curry expressed his interest in leveraging his influence for positive change, stating, "Maybe, I have an interest in leveraging every part of my influence for good in the way that I can."

While he stopped short of confirming a presidential bid, Curry emphasized the importance of creating meaningful change, whether through politics or other avenues.

Curry's involvement in the Oakland community, despite the Warriors' relocation to San Francisco, highlights his dedication to social causes.

Alongside his wife, Ayesha Curry, he has been actively engaged in charitable initiatives, including supporting children in the Oakland public school district and advocating for food security through organizations like Eat. Learn. Play. and No Kid Hungry.

Moreover, Curry has been a vocal advocate for racial justice and has participated in protests against systemic racism and violence targeting Black communities. His commitment to community engagement and addressing pressing issues suggests that a future in politics could be a natural progression for the NBA superstar.

While Curry has not confirmed any specific political ambitions, his willingness to consider a political career opens up possibilities for his future beyond basketball. Whether it's a run for the presidency or a role in local government, Curry's potential impact on the political landscape could extend far beyond the basketball court. (Source: CBS SPORTS)
