Los Angeles Lakers fans are buzzing with speculation as NBA star LeBron James' eldest son, Bronny James, has declared for this year's draft. 

At 19, Bronny, a backup combo guard for USC Trojans, is stepping into the spotlight, but opinions are divided on whether he's ready for the pros.

LeBron James, a dominant force in the NBA, has a big decision looming with a $51.4 million player option for the 2024-25 season. Could the Lakers draft his son as a way to keep LeBron in Los Angeles?

The Lakers, currently holding the No. 55 pick, are in a position to select Bronny. Some experts, like Bill Simmons and Ryen Russillo from The Ringer, believe a team might take a chance on Bronny to entice LeBron to stay. 

Despite a challenging freshman season for Bronny, there's speculation that a team might pick him in hopes of securing LeBron's commitment.

With the draft approaching, all eyes are on the Lakers and their potential move. Will they take a flyer on Bronny James this summer? Only time will tell.
