In a thrilling fight on Friday night, Blair Cobbs secured a ten-round, unanimous decision victory over Adrien Broner at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. The scores were 97-92, 96-93, and 96-93 in favor of Cobbs.

Cobbs, known for his energetic style, started strong, winning the first round with more activity than Broner. In the second round, Cobbs knocked Broner down with a right hook followed by a straight left, which also knocked out one of Broner’s teeth.

Broner tried to increase his punches after the knockdown but struggled to keep up with Cobbs’ pace. Cobbs continued to dominate, using his left hand and jab effectively.

Though Broner picked up the pace in the second half of the fight, Cobbs had already built a significant lead. Broner landed some good shots, including an uppercut in the sixth round, but Cobbs’ combinations kept him ahead.

In the final rounds, Broner pressed hard, backing Cobbs into a corner at times. Despite taking some hits, Cobbs stayed composed and active enough to secure the win.

Cobbs, now with a record of 17-1-1 (10 KOs), celebrated his second consecutive win. He previously fought in August 2022, defeating Maurice Hooker. Cobbs signed with Don King Productions to secure this fight against Broner.

Broner, who now holds a record of 35-5-1 (24 KOs), saw his two-fight win streak come to an end. He has fought sparingly since his 2019 loss to Manny Pacquiao, with this being his first fight since June 2023.

After the fight, Cobbs expressed his ambitions and playful banter towards Ryan Garcia, hinting at future matchups.

Also on the card, heavyweight Michael Hunter II dominated Cassius Chaney in a ten-round shutout, winning 100-90 on all three judges' scorecards.
