Caitlin Clark Tops List of Alternates For Women's Olympic Basketball Team: Report

Caitlin Clark was not chosen for the main roster of the U.S. Olympic women’s national basketball team.

However, there is still a chance she might play in Paris.

Shams Charania from The Athletic reported on FanDuel TV’s "Run It Back" that Clark is the top alternate.

If one of the 12 players on the team gets injured, Clark could step in.

Charania said, "I’m told Caitlin Clark and Brionna Jones are atop the alternates list for Team USA if there is needed to be a replacement." Clark, a rookie with the Indiana Fever, remains hopeful for a spot.
