UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira stepped up to save UFC 303 after Conor McGregor had to pull out due to an injury.

Pereira will now face former champion Jiri Prochazka in a rematch on June 29 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. This change was announced just 16 days before the event.

In a new video on Pereira’s YouTube channel, fans can watch the exact moment Pereira got the call to replace McGregor. The footage shows his reaction and the response of his team.

Pereira recently fought at UFC 300 in April, where he knocked out Jamahal Hill in the first round, despite having a broken toe. He’s now ready to face Prochazka again, who he defeated last November to win the light heavyweight title.

The new main event promises to be an exciting rematch between Pereira and Prochazka, adding even more anticipation to UFC 303.
