Amir Khan has criticized the decision to let 45-year-old Manny Pacquiao fight for the world welterweight title, calling it "corruption." Pacquiao, a former multi-weight world champion, has been out of the ring for over two years.

Recently, the WBC president approved a fight between Pacquiao and Mario Barrios, which could happen in early 2025.

Khan, who has sparred with Barrios, expressed surprise at Pacquiao's comeback and argued that boxing is favoring big names over younger fighters.

He stated, "It’s unfair. There are so many young fighters coming up. Really I think you should give the next generation a chance, man."

Barrios, who became the full WBC champion in June, has only fought once this year, defeating Fabian Andres Maidana on points in May.
