The injury bug continues to haunt the San Francisco 49ers as they prepare to face the Minnesota Vikings on Monday night.

Star wide receiver Deebo Samuel has been ruled out for the game after suffering a shoulder fracture. Initially, X-rays were negative, but a later CT scan revealed the hairline fracture.

Samuel is also expected to miss Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Head coach Kyle Shanahan mentioned that they never considered injured reserve for Samuel.

In addition to Samuel, running back Christian McCaffrey is officially listed as questionable due to an oblique injury.

McCaffrey had a limited participation in Saturday's practice. Offensive lineman Trent Williams is doubtful for Monday's contest due to an ankle injury.

The 49ers will kick off against the Vikings at 8:15 p.m. ET, hoping to overcome their injury setbacks and secure a victory.
