Jake Paul Eyes MMA Debut Against Sean O'Malley at UFC 303 Before Mike Tyson Fight

Jake Paul, known for his boxing career and social media presence, wants to switch gears and make his MMA debut. With a boxing match against Mike Tyson rescheduled for November, Paul has set his sights on UFC 303 and bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley.

Originally, Paul was supposed to fight Tyson on July 20, but due to a medical issue with Tyson, the fight was postponed to November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. While waiting for that match, Paul is looking to stay active by stepping into the MMA cage for the first time. He targeted O'Malley, a much lighter fighter, for a crossover bout between the UFC and PFL.

"100% will kill Omalley in MMA," Paul wrote on social media. "He's a small man. PFL Vs UFC June 29th."

O'Malley, who weighs 135 pounds, is the current UFC bantamweight champion. Paul, on the other hand, is preparing for a heavyweight fight against Tyson and weighed 200 pounds in his last match against Ryan Bourland in March.

Paul signed a multifight contract with the PFL in January to compete in MMA for their Super Fight pay-per-view events. PFL CEO Pete Murray previously stated that Paul’s MMA debut was expected in 2025 after the Tyson fight. However, with Tyson's health delay, Paul seems eager to fight sooner.

Although it's unlikely Paul will face O'Malley or anyone at UFC 303, there is a chance he might debut in MMA against someone closer to his weight class under the PFL banner.

UFC 303 is currently facing uncertainty with its main event, as doubts grow about the Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler fight happening as scheduled. Meanwhile, PFL is hosting an event on June 28, a day before UFC 303, but it's unclear if Paul will debut there.
