Veteran Guards Derrick Rose And Marcus Smart Join Memphis Grizzlies To Restore Discipline And Defense

The Grizzlies' recent acquisitions of Derrick Rose and Marcus Smart mark a significant transformation for the Memphis team, which faced off-court issues during the last NBA season.

Their addition brings a fresh perspective to the squad. Memphis, once filled with promise, saw its season unravel piece by piece earlier this year, leaving fans pondering the warning signs.

With stars like Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, and Jaren Jackson Jr., the Grizzlies looked exceptionally talented. At one point, they even shared the best record in the Western Conference with the eventual NBA champions, the Denver Nuggets.

Reports emerged of confrontations involving Morant, allegations of threats towards a mall security officer and a teenager, and even Morant flashing a gun on social media, resulting in his suspension for 25 games. The team lacked discipline.
